Our Staff
Pastor
KCC is currently seeking God’s direction as we are looking for a new senior pastor. This position is currently open and we have a team considering various candidates prayerfully.
About Jesus Christ. We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He is co-equal with the Father. Jesus lived a sinless human life and offered himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all people by dying on a cross. He rose from the dead after three days to demonstrate His power over sin and death. He ascended to Heaven and will return someday to earth to reign as King.
About the Holy Spirit. Covenant church members believe the Holy Spirit is co-equal with the Father and Son of God. The Holy Spirit is present in the world to make men aware of their need for Jesus Christ. We believe the Holy Spirit lives in every Christian from the moment of salvation. It is the Holy Spirit that provides Christians with power for living, the understanding of spiritual truth and the guidance for doing what is right. The Holy Spirit gives every believer spiritual gifts when they are saved. As Christians we seek to live under the control of the Holy Spirit daily.

About the Bible. We believe the Bible is God’s Word to us. We believe it was written by human authors under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit and that it provides the supreme source of truth for Christian beliefs about living. Since the Bible is inspired by God, we believe it is truth without error.
For further study: II Peter 1:20-21; Proverbs 30:5; Psalm 119:105, 160, 12:6; II Timothy 1:13, 3:16.
About human beings. As Christians, we believe humans are made in the spiritual image of God, to be like Him in character. We view people as the supreme objects of God’s creation. Although every person has tremendous potential for good, all of us are marred by an attitude of disobedience toward God called “sin.” Sin separates us from God and causes many problems in our life.
For further study: Genesis 1:27; Isaiah 53:6a, 59:1-2; Psalm 8:3-6; Romans 3:23.
About salvation. We believe salvation is God’s free gift to us that must be accepted. We can never make up for our sin by self-improvement or good works. Only by trusting in Jesus Christ as God’s offer of forgiveness can anyone be saved from sin’s penalty. When we turn from our self-ruled life and turn to Jesus in faith, we are saved. We believe eternal life begins the moment one receives Jesus Christ into his life by faith.
For further study: Ephesians 2:8-9; Galatians 3:26; John 14:6, Romans 5:1, 6:23, 10:9-10; Titus 3:5.
About eternity. Our belief is that humans were created to exist forever. We will either exist eternally separated from God by sin or eternally with God through forgiveness and salvation. To be eternally separated from God is hell. To be eternally in union with Him is eternal life in Heaven. We believe Heaven and hell are real places of eternal existence.
